Musicality are excited to be presenting Sister Act the Musical, running from 14th-17th February 2018 at Nottingham Arts Theatre in the city centre. Our cast have been working hard since October to produce a professional-level piece of theatre, and we need your help to raise money to help cover our production costs and make the show a success.
About the show
Sister Act the Musical, based on the much-loved Whoopi Goldberg film, follows the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who is put into witness protection in a convent after watching a crime take place. Despite their differences and through the power of soul and disco music, she helps save the convent from destitution and discovers the meaning of sisterhood along the way. This feel-good musical is packed with laughs and energy and songs that will have you dancing in your seats.
Musicality are the University of Nottingham's Musical Theatre Society, currently celebrating our 10th anniversary - that's 10 years of producing completely student-run musicals and providing ways for students to have their chance in the spotlight.
Where will the money go?
Your money will really help us with our production costs which will in turn help make the show spectacular. This includes venue hire, costume, props, and technical costs such as microphones.
